Emerald puddle trail

From the Picnic Area Sottrivea located near the bed of the Meduna, you reach the entrance of the Strada da Lis Fornas trail, an educational and hiking path identifiable by the presence of an explanatory panel and a pedestrian gate at the entrance. Climbing through hairpin bends, you arrive at the plateau where the Borgo Titol Agritourism Farm is located, which you pass to continue the path to a viewpoint over the Meduna stream. You climb through a hop hornbeam forest and, after crossing another pedestrian gate, enter an artificial spruce forest up to the Curs cottages. Then descending through two hairpin bends, you reach a meadow leading to the paved road. Follow it to the left, passing the Pradiél village and, after a short descent, reach the bridge where there is a sign indicating the path to the nearby and low-lying Pradiél Mill. Returning to the bridge, take the main road again to the left, which eventually becomes a forest track that leads into the Meduna Gorge until it ends at a square. From here it is possible to continue following the riverbed for about fifty meters, reaching the first Pozze Smeraldine, created by natural barriers of gravel accumulations transported and deposited by the water force during seasonal floods. From the same square, it is also recommended to follow the wide mule track that shortly leads to a steel bridge (Ponte Rusubet), from which you can admire the waterfall formed by the Rug (Stream) della Ira and the Pozze Smeraldine with a panoramic view. On the return, follow the main road and, once you reach the village of Tramonti di Sopra, follow again the signs (downhill to the right) of the Strada da lis Fornas trail, which leads back to the Picnic Area Sottrivea.
