Costapiana - Church of Saint Helena
[15th century]
The church was built between 1470 and 1472 by the local residents, with the help of Pedrosa and Costalunga, and was consecrated on May 23, 1473. The building is situated on a small plateau near the intersection between the road to Canebola and the one to Costapiana. The church, with stone walls and a wooden beam roof structure, is characterized by a large portico on its façade. The apse with well-formed ribs is a perfect example of Gothic architecture. The wooden altar inside dates back to the 17th century and is in Baroque style. A skilful restoration was carried out in 1995
