Costapiana - Twin waterfalls and Rio Marcjat

The short but evocative walk in the woods leads to this “wild” clearing, which is located a few minutes from the road, but appears unspoiled. Green is the dominant color, not only for the vegetation that characterizes the surrounding landscape: the green water of the Rio Marcjat stream, in fact, originating at the top of the rock, flows over the stony bottom and moss, thus giving life to a jet of water which is divided into countless waterfalls and which, on the occasion of heavy rainfall, increases its flow by dividing into two twin jets, the "twin waterfalls", which can be seen all year round. This place is ideal for a short stop, especially during autumn to appreciate its colors. The path to reach the place starts from the road leading to Canebola, 1 km from the crossroads for Canal di Grivò: the entrance is on the bridge that passes over the Rio Marcjat (a few hundred meters before the bridge, there is a clearing where you can park your car). The walk from the trailhead to the waterfalls takes 5 minutes.
