Doggy Beach: a four legged summer!

It is a pleasant spring day, sunny and warm. We decide to spend the afternoon in the open air to enjoy the temperature and the landscape of our corner of the world. We get ready, sit our son on his bicycle seat and head towards Fontanabona.
After a stretch of road, we connect with the Ippovia del Cormor, a dirt track about 25 km long that connects Udine to Buja. The route runs almost entirely along the banks of the torrent between hilly landscapes and plains, crossing seven villages on the outskirts of Udine.
We join the trail and after a descent we are stopped by the first crossing of the torrent. Following the rains of the previous days it had become dangerous to cross the ford, especially with our child in his seat, who has meanwhile fallen asleep.
We retrace our steps along this section of the bridle path and head towards Tavagnacco to rejoin the path we meet on the Provincial road. The track here is clear and free; on some stretches they are doing some work to rebuild the collapsed embankment, but you can still get by easily.
We skirt the waters of the stream up to the outskirts of Branco; we cross a stretch of main road and immediately rejoin the dirt track a little further, which brings us back to the local flora and fauna. At the fork, we choose the path on the left, leaving the Roman bridge, and we reach the villages of Plaino and Colugna. We continue along the upper path, and cross the pedestrian bridge that brings us near the fairgrounds of the town of Martignacco.
We end our journey climbing up towards Plaino, continuing along the bike path, a bit more tired but happier than we started.
