Aquileia, a treasure chest

The event, dedicated to short art films made throughout Friuli Venezia Giulia, stops off in a beautiful Christmassy Cervignano with "Animakids", a festival of animated films for children.
For those who have never been to this town, it was an opportunity to see the Pasolini Theater, one of the most appreciated venues in the region not only for the cinema but also for its prose and the music. Mountaineering enthusiasts cannot fail to notice the monument to Giusto Gervasutti, almost in front of the theatre. It is also worth noting that a few steps away there is the church of San Michele Arcangelo which preserves interesting frescoes and a crypt, as well as the recent opening of an antiquarium where you can see one of the oldest clocks in Friuli which used to run until the 1920s, and appears in vintage postcards of the church bell tower. This small museum also displays some artefacts found in the area.
