Discovering Lelio Luttazzi

Among the events brought to the attention of the public during the 49th Barcolana, the record-breaking regatta filling the Gulf of Trieste with 2101 yachts this year, a special mention should be made of the opportunity to visit Studio Luttazzi.

Thanks to the legacy of his wife, it was possible, for lovers of music and more, to travel in time and especially through the life of the author, composer, musician and television figure. In the exhibition halls of the Biblioteca statale Stelio Crise in Trieste, there were displays dedicated to the Triestine artist.

Pieces of personal history, vinyl records and scores, video and photographic testimonies. It was possible to contemplate the piano on which Luttazzi (who was self-taught) exercised so much, read letters he wrote or received, and look at clips of the films or television broadcasts in which he took part.

There were also two computers available in which visitors could search for their favourite articles in the press dedicated to him, or finds of various kinds and medium (cinema, TV...).

The study can still be visited during the opening hours of the Library or on request without reservation.

Anna De Marco

Almost thirty years old and Trieste-born, I have a dream of working with children with difficulties. I am curious by nature and always ready to try out new experiences, I am passionate about theatre and musicals above all. I like to look around and participate in the city’s cultural initiatives.
