Street art in Melara

“If you are interested in Street Art or just curious about discovering unusual places and underground art movements, there is a place to visit in Friuli Venezia Giulia: the Quadrilatero of Rozzol Melara.

The “Quadrilatero” is a working-class residential complex located on the outskirts of Trieste, built by local architects and engineers between 1979 and 1981; but it is from the early 2000s that its long and broad corridors have become home to interest Street Art.

The murals were born as an artistic redevelopment project launched by a group of young street artists from Melara who decided to give a little colour and expressiveness to the large spaces and corridors of the place.”
