We’re in the Colli Orientali del Friuli zone, which is well known for its excellent food and wine and its beautiful landscapes. The stories we’d heard in one of the local villages had aroused our interest and we decided to take one of the paths through the woods: we are in Torreano, near the "Foràn di Landri" cave.

The stories were about mythical female creatures who live close to the water or inside caves. The locals call them agane, but in other places they’re called by other names. They are wild, magnetic women who possess ancient knowledge. Local legend has it that...

Enchanted places appear around us, we hear whispers, melodic voices sing the songs of the agane, whose shadows seem to play with us… or is it just a warning? Time stands still. Later, we descend towards other villages where new legends await us. It’s an honour to have met the agane in the sacred temple of silence.
