Exhibition Hall of the Military and Historical relics of San Daniele del Friuli

The Exhibition Hall of the Military and Historical relics is housed by the so-called House of the 300's (Casa del Trecento) in San Daniele del Friuli, a medieval building that withstood the adversity of time and an earthquake in 1976. Originally a pawn shop, now it is home to the local Alpine Corps Association.

The building houses also an interesting collection of military memorabilia from different periods, arranged on three floors. On the first floor, visitors can admire pennants of different army divisions, pictures of army groups and special events, while on the second you can see documents, posters, postcards, banners and reproductions related to the history of the Alpine Corps and the Austrian divisions in the Great War. The last floor includes various funeral objects of the Alpine troops, firearms and ammunitions of WW I and II, uniforms of soldiers, NCOs and officers from different periods. Quite interesting is a reconstruction of the life in the barracks or camps.
