From Udine: take exit Carnia - Tolmezzo on Highway A23. Continue along road SS13 towards Tarvisio up to Dogna. Turn right to enter the village and follow directions for the Dogna Valley. Continue on the former military road for about 12 kilometres until you reach the village of Stavoli di Plans.
