Three distinct Outdoor Museums add value to this very demanding stage of the Walk of Peace: Prižnica (also known as the Hill of Death), Vodice and Škabrijel. These sites guide visitors through beautiful landscapes as well as to the remains of trenches and fortifications dating back to the Great War. They lead hikers to confront both stunning landscapes and remnants of trenches and fortifications from the Great War. These artifacts provide insight into the harsh realities of warfare in areas where some of the most violent and bloody battles took place. The journey continues to Gorizia and Nova Gorica, concluding at Piazza della Transalpina/Trg Evrope, a square symbolizing friendship and cooperation between two nations.
