The FVG 8/a cycle route is the variant that connects Tolmezzo to Comeglians following the course of the Degano stream.
The variant route starts in Tolmezzo and allows you to discover villages along the valley of the Degano stream until you reach Comeglians and pass through Ovaro. For the more trained, it is possible to switch from the cyclovia to its variant by passing Sella Valcalda in Ravascletto on roads open to traffic (alt. 958 m). The route crosses the inter-municipal park of the Carnic hills among meadows and woods and near the important archaeological site of Invillino.
Along the route you can make several detours of a cultural and eno-gastronomic nature. Continue cycling in the direction of Ovaro until you meet Raveo, an authentic village of Italy. In Ovaro it is possible to visit the Museum of Wood and the Venetian Sawmill, a unique testimony to the use of the forest resource and the wood supply chain documented, in Carnia, as early as the 1700s, during the rule of the Most Serene Republic of Venice. In the hamlet of Clavais is the permanent exhibition "Memories of War."
It is recommended to reach Tolmezzo from Venzone station and enjoy the beautiful route along the Tagliamento River cycleway.

From Tolmezzo, follow the signs for Invillino and Ovaro
There are currently no bicibuses departing from the Carnia train station
To reach Tolmezzo by car:
- From the A23 (Alpe-Adria freeway): take the "Carnia-Tolmezzo" exit. Follow the signs for Tolmezzo;
- From Udine: follow the SS13 in a northeast direction towards Tolmezzo;
- From Pordenone: take the SP52 in a northwest direction towards Tolmezzo.
