From the Lambertenghi-Romanin Refuge at 1955 m, descend following the path and then the forest road (CAI marker 144) until you reach a fork just above the Tolazzi Refuge. Turn left and follow the road uphill, or the path marked CAI 143 which cuts hairpin bends leading to Forcella Morareet and Rifugio Marinelli. Go down the opposite side of the saddle following the CAI 148 signpost along the road which passes near Casera Plotta. When you reach a crossroads, turn right onto the road (CAI trail sign 175) which leads to Casera Collina grande at 1522 m. From the casera, continue along the CAI 175 path which enters the Chiaula Valley at altitude, crosses the Rio Chiaula and leads to the ruins of Casera Chiaula bassa at 1397 m. Continuing to follow the CAI 175 signpost, go up to the ruins of Casera Chiaula alta at 1548 m where, having left the CAI 175 signpost, turn left along a track and the subsequent dirt road which leads to the Agriturismo Malga Lavareit at 1470 m.
