How is the old banned wood? A trip from Moggio, to beyond the abandoned villages of Moggessa

Imagine the sound of your steps crunching on the fresh snow in the silence of the forest, and the tepid light of the sun warming your face, penetrating the bare branches of the trees. Alongside you, there is a a very deep gorge from which emerges the faint roar of the crystal-clear, icy water, and in the distance a motionless green and blue lake, surrounded by snowy peaks. It’s like a dream! But is actually real, the beautiful panoramic trail of Dint at Barcis, which offers thrills and spectacular views of the mountains in winter near Pordenone. The walk is easy and particularly impressive.
In the summer I have been there several times, looking for some cool on the hottest days, but walking here in winter was a surprise, when you can follow the entire itinerary practically alone. The viewpoints leave you with eyes wide in wonder: Andreis in the distance looks like a small nativity scene and the Cellina gorge is really impressive. But the highlight is the Skywalk, a metal and glass bridge suspended in the void, making you feel as though you are flying over the Barcis lake. The circular circuit of the trail leads back to the starting point, namely the visitor centre of the Forra del Cellina Nature Reserve: here I take the opportunity to take the last photos from the snow-covered jetty on the lake.
