Bertiolo
Bertiolo is situated in the resurgence area and its name is probably of Germanic origin.
This assumption derives from the presence in the area of some groups of farmers, whose names probably derived from a German lineage, who were called in the Patriarchs' age to repopulate the lands after the Hungarian invasions.
Don't miss the Wine Festival, which takes place every year in March around St. Joseph's day and features typical local food and wine stands set up along the town's streets. The town is a member of the Italian National Association of Wine Cities.
Visit the Holy Trinity Church of Lombard origin and the Parish Church of Bertiolo (dedicated to St. Martin) situated in the town's centre, built in the 17th century and consecrated in 1702.
Along the road that links Bertiolo to the hamlet of Lonca di Codroipo, you will have the chance to admire the nineteenth-century Sanctuary dedicated to the "Madonna di Screncis".
