"The Dialogue”, the new exhibition in Illegio, is a fascinating journey through art and human reflection, designed to inspire both emotion and thought. The exhibition features 52 masterpieces, including paintings and sculptures, some from private collections never before accessible to the public. The works span more than 2,500 years of history, from the 4th century BC to the 20th century.
Among the featured artists are Caravaggio, Tiepolo, Hayez, Fattori, De Nittis and Picasso, alongside many other masters whose works create an extraordinary concentration of beauty and meaning.
The central theme is dialogue: its importance in human relationships, between generations and among peoples, the challenges it faces, and its essential role in fostering coexistence and peace. Through mythological, biblical, historical and literary figures, the exhibition conveys a timely and profound message, inviting visitors to rediscover the value of listening and mutual understanding.
With this twenty-second edition, Illegio reaffirms its remarkable cultural mission: a small village in the Carnia region that, since 2004, has welcomed more than 1,600 works of art and over 750,000 visitorS
