Diocesan museum of religious art

The museum of religious art of Pordenone which is within the Diocesan and Pastoral Activities Centre, exhibits sculptures, frescos, paintings, drawings, prints, materials and furnishings with a religious background, which are mostly local and date back from the 7th to the 20th centuries.

The museum of religious art is subdivided into sections following a double arrangement system by subject (shown chronologically) and by destination. A characterising element of the collection is the sacredness in the different artistic forms, which has manifested itself over the centuries. The works of Gianfrancesco da Tolmezzo, Martini, Calderari, Francesco Guardi, Alvise Casella, Pomponio Amalteo, etc., are of particular relevance.
