Castel d'Aviano Golf Club at
Pordenone, close to the ski resort of
Piancavallo, has just finished work on creating 18 holes bringing the course to a total length of 5,980m for an overall par 72. The course harmoniously blends the old and new holes; the first holes are located on hilly ground inside the prestigious Natural Park at Villa Policreti, a particularly interesting historical and architectural residence built in the XVI century; nowadays, Villa Policreti is an elegant hotel and home both to a renowned restaurant and the club house that overlooks the total greenery of the golf course.
The new, recently created 9 holes extend across a flat background, enriched by 3 lakes and the length of the holes is particularly interesting as is the spectacular scenery offered from Monte Cavallo often snowcaped and the view of the ancient town of Castello d'Aviano.
In a naturalistic context of significant impact, the
Castel d'Aviano Golf Club is an exciting course to play and can only delight the player who has to test himself on the insidious dog-leg, slightly sloping green and obstacles that make the game even more entertaining and creative.
Open all year round
