On October 10, 2021, after the cancellation of the edition due to bad weather, the Gulf of Trieste finally became the battlefield of the largest regatta in the world.
The regatta wouldn’t be stopped even by the majestic Bora wind, which reached the Trieste region in the days beforehand.
Unfortunately, some categories of boats could not participate in the race due to the dangerous situation. In fact, it certainly wasn’t one of the calmest editions: many boats had to withdraw due to damage caused by the wind, and many sailors fell overboard during the competition.
