In an era in which AI is increasingly permeating our daily lives, we artists still believe – and perhaps hope – that we alone will continue to convey the emotions that the arts are capable of evoking in the human soul. We are also convinced that the mechanisms of artificial intelligence will not be capable of creating a composition that can convey the emotions experienced by the human composer in the act of conceiving it. 
The project therefore stems from a curiosity to compare, in a concert setting—perhaps for the first time—two compositions based on the same brief thematic excerpts taken from one of the best-known and most beloved works, Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
It will be interesting to see the audience’s reaction to the two pieces, but above all to see the result of the vote, which will reveal whether those present were able to identify the authorship of the two compositions. All the pieces will be performed by the Nuova Orchestra Ferruccio Busoni, an orchestra distinguished not only by the variety of its timbres and sound quality but also by the marked emotional engagement that is fundamental to every one of its performances and which, for the first time, will encounter AI.
The verdict rests with the audience…
