Tra il 1992 e il 1996 Sarajevo è stata sottoposta a uno degli assedi più lunghi della storia contemporanea europea.
Migliaia di civili sono stati uccisi, molti sotto il fuoco dei cecchini appostati sulle colline che circondavano la città.
Tra i molti episodi di quella guerra, uno è rimasto a lungo ai margini dell’opinione pubblica: la presenza di stranieri facoltosi che avrebbero pagato per unirsi alle postazioni di tiro e sparare contro gli abitanti della città assediata.
Sarajevo Safari ricostruisce questa vicenda attraverso testimonianze di sopravvissuti, ex membri delle strutture militari e fonti investigative, riportando alla luce una storia rimossa e interrogando lo spettatore sul rapporto tra violenza, responsabilità e memoria.
