Annalisa Fabris è una scrittrice cresciuta in un piccolo paesino del Friuli Venezia Giulia. Usa la penna come se fosse una bacchetta magica, per provare a catturare tutto quello che osserva con gli occhi incantati di una bambina e farlo poi magicamente ricomparire su un foglio bianco. Nel 2024 il libro Il vecchio noce segna il suo esordio nella letteratura per bambini e ragazzi, seguito poco dopo dal libro I tre fantasmi. Entrambi i titoli fanno parte della collana La banda della soffitta, ideata e curata dalla stessa autrice per la Casa Editrice L’Orto della Cultura. Nel 2025 la collana si arricchisce di un terzo volume, Il quadro di Natale. Lui ha paura del buio, edito nello stesso anno, è il suo primo albo illustrato.
