Harpsichordist Francesco Corti – a student of Gustav Leonhardt and Deutsche Grammophon artist – leads Il Pomo d'Oro in a concert celebrating the flowering of instrumental Baroque music. The program intertwines Bach's architecture with the inventions of C.P.E. Bach, passing through the collective virtuosity of Brandenburg Concerto No. 5. A precious listening experience, between philological practice and interpretative vitality, signed by one of the most prestigious ensembles on the historically informed scene.
Program:
Johann Sebastian Bach (Eisenach 1685 – Leipzig 1750) Concerto for harpsichord in D minor, BWV 1052
Carl Phillip Emanuel Bach (Weimar 1714 – Hamburg 1788) Concerto for flute in D major, Wq. 13
Johann Sebastian Bach (Eisenach 1685 – Leipzig 1750) Concerto No. 3 in D major BWV 1054 and Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 BWV 1050
