The most eagerly awaited event in Lignano Sabbiadoro is the "Festa delle Cape" which every year marks the beginning of the events of the new summer season,
The Festa delle Cape 2025 will take place in Piazza Marcello d’Olivo in Lignano Pineta, for lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday 8th-9th and 15th-16th March 2025.
The purpose of the event, which in the meanstime has become a tradition, is to make the fish products of our Adriatic Sea known to residents and tourists (more and more numerous on these festive days), but above all to donate the proceeds to charity.
On the menu there are the classic traditional dishes such as cape lunghe (razor clams), pevarasse (clams), grilled sardines, fried sardines, sardines in saor, squid and other local specialties.
