The saddle located between the rocks at the base of Creta Cacciatori to the east and a small area of grassy and rocky high ground to the west, the so-called Creta di Casera Vecchia (2285 m), which in turn defines another large grassy saddle, the false passo dei Cacciatori pass, beyond which rise the steep south-eastern rock faces of monte Chiadènis.

An interesting suggestion for those who want to reach the Calvi refuge, albeit with a much longer path, avoiding the always crowded track that leads from the car park at the fork at 1815 m on the provincial road 22 of the val Sesis. The route is varied, sunny, panoramic, only tiring over the final stretch and winds through meadows, woods, scree and gullies, with views across the mountains of Volaia, the distant Coglians group and the Cimon.
