The trail begins at the first houses of Sauris di Sotto, at the first crossroads on the right. Before the two houses you walk along the meadow in an easterly direction, slightly uphill soon gaining the dense forest of spruce and beech. We descend ,shortly afterwards bending north again slightly downhill, until we come out into the fascinating gorge carved by the Mitreikenpoch stream in the carious dolomite. Here we can admire steep pinnacles, mysterious caves and burrows: inviolable homes of foxes, martens and badgers. We descend along the brook to the right, after a couple of easy fords keeping the bank to the left we come to cross trail 1A and then climb to the left over the bridge of the road to Sauris di Sotto. Descending instead to the right we come to a hidden lake bay.
