Burnjak: the Chestnut Festival in Tribil Superiore, in the municipality of Stregna

Every year, towards the end of October, in this beautiful village perched above the Natisone Valleys, a beautiful festival takes place as a tribute to chestnuts, a typical product of this area that has an abundance of centuries-old beech and chestnut trees.

The entire town comes alive from early in the morning, with music, dancing and food stands providing gourmet delicacies and a varied display of agricultural products and crafts.

The whole event is complemented with a photo exhibition, a section dedicated to ancient wooden games for children and walks organised by the Proloco Nediske Doline along the old paths in the area, offering visitors the opportunity to spend a truly enjoyable and light-hearted day.
