Ascent to the Francescutto Shelter

The hike begins near theLa Stube hotel in Cella di Forni di Sopra (875 m). We take via Tintai and at the second fork, on the left, via Sorapiera; then via Plan dal Moru and via Tiviei. We thus arrive near the last dwelling, where we take the mule track on the right that enters the forest (path 210). Shortly before this stops, we take the uphill path on the left that deposits us, after 110 meters of elevation gain, on the newcartroad for access to the malghe(square "Madonna del Clapus"). We continue uphill to the locality of Fienili Duns, where an uphill path branches off from the cartroad, which we follow until we leave the woods near Malga Montemaggiore (Mamaiou, 1729 m). A track in the meadow, to the right, soon leads us to the beautiful Francescutto Shelter (1748 m), half open and free. We return to the valley by the ascent route.
