Snack with a view of the gulf from the Rilke trail

Do you want to enjoy a snack, in a special place near Trieste, somewhere to go on an evening with a taste of summer? We decide to head to the hut on the Rilke trail. We leave the car just before the descent towards Sistiana, in the free parking area a few metres from the tourist office. After taking the path that starts right there in front, we arrive after just 500 metres. The place can also be reached directly from the nearby campsite. The place proved to be perfect, with a beautiful view of the gulf, a tasty menu, including snacks or real dishes: the specialities are above all meat dishes. It is about 7 p.m, and all the tables facing the sea are booked for the evening, while others are already crowded with many customers, especially tourists, many of whom foreign, who are enjoying an aperitif or dinner and occasionally move on to the ridge for a panoramic photo. The view extends over the bay below and, of course, over the entire gulf. You breathe a calm, relaxed air here. The hut will remain open until the Barcolana, the sailing regatta that takes place on the second Sunday of October, then it will close its doors and reopen in March. And on the Sunday dedicated to the great regatta this will surely be a favourite point from which to see the spectacle of the sails filling the sea.
