Following the routes of the Mitteleuropean Race

The coast of Venezia Giulia, the Carso, Collio and beyond. These are the territories crossed by the regularity race for classic cars called Mitteleuropean Race, which raises the image of Friuli Venezia Giulia but above all amazes all its participants thanks to a fabulous itinerary through our territory. The event, organised by ASD Adrenalinika of Trieste, now in its third edition, welcomed about forty teams from all over Italy and abroad. A team at Dolegna del Collio What were the most evocative parts according to the drivers? The little roads of the Collio amid vines and flowering trees, the entrance to the park of the Castello di Spessathe passage over the Devil’s Bridge at Cividale and the scenic coastal road approaching Trieste. Cars crossing the Devil’s Bridge at Cividale A stage that was more than appreciated by the participants was the one with a halt to taste wines and visit local wineries. For the occasion, one winery offered a special bottle for the victors of the time trial in the surrounding area. The two days of competition also passed through some small Slovenian towns and ended on Sunday afternoon in the heart of Trieste where, for the record, the winning team was driving a beautiful 1933 MG L Type.

A cameraman since 1999, I have been working on videos for news services for leading national news networks and on films for major events on behalf of public bodies, private individuals, associations and companies. As a freelance journalist, I have also collaborated with various regional editorial offices. I love snowboarding in winter and tasting good wine at wineries in summer.
