On the ramparts of Palmanova, the fortress town in the shape of a nine-pointed star, recently listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, there are three practicable routes of different difficulty. We have opted for the low one, the easiest, with some detours to the intermediate one where you need to climb some slopes, which makes it suitable, along with the outer ring, for nordic walking. In addition to admiring the fortifications and the entrances to the tunnels, it is possible to come across some herons or beautiful wild plants.
