During the Great War, this little 117m-high peak in the Isonzo Karst, located exactly in front of the great war memorial and cemetery that is the  Sacrario di Redipuglia between the municipalities of Fogliano Redipuglia and Ronchi dei Legionari, saw some cruel events.

Today, taking an easy walk, we can observe the remains of the Dolina del XV Bersaglieri, a system of defences in a doline, and the Mazzoldi trench, seeking out the texts and drawings engraved into the cement by the soldiers, and observe the view to the sea, lightened by the presence of butterflies and grazing cattle.
