Castelnuovo di Sagrado

During an outing in the Isonzo Karst between Castelnuovo di Sagrado and the trincea  delle frasche (a conserved First World War trench), I appreciated the change of the environment that here gradually becomes red thanks to the omnipresent European smoketree (Rhus cotinus) typical of the Karst. And there are mushrooms in a large doline, butterflies playing among the vines now without grapes, seeking out the flowers in blossom, and the first winter birds.
