Where to find the maze in a cornfield?

At Bagnaria Arsa, just over 20 km south of Udine, where Chiara and Fabio – the creators of the corn maze– will be waiting for you on their teaching farm, and will explain the various routes.

This year there are three: in the shape of a pumpkin and a tree – the simplest – and of a peacock, which is the most complicated one. It takes about two hours to do all the mazes. You will be given a crossword, the Cruciblave (in the Friulian language corn is called “blave”), which you will have to solve by looking for definitions inside the labyrinth.

We did not find very many of these, but looking after four children it was a miracle we even all came out alive! In addition to the definitions, inside the maze, in the middle of the corn, you will find curious details about corn and pumpkins and delicious and unusual recipes you can try out later.

Once you leave you will certainly deserve some refreshment and anyway there’s a surprise for children: a corn swimming pool! Off with shoes and socks and they can dive as much as they like! Your children will love it! They can cover themselves with corn, make it flow over them or just jump in.
