Discovering the Foresta del Prescudin (Prescudin Forest)

The Prescudin Regional Forest is a small oasis of tranquility just a short walk from the Barcis lake. It is the ideal place for all outdoor enthusiasts thanks to the variety of trails offered and for its unspoilt and protected nature: the Prescudin Forest takes its name from the torrent of the same name that runs through its midst, and whose catchment area is of great scientific interest .

The forest is reachable only on foot, via an easy path suitable for children and families too: after passing the Barcis lake, the entrance to the forest is located near the village of Arcola by the stream of the Cellina torrent.

After a gentle walk of about an hour, you reach the large picnic area in the heart of the woods. This is where Villa Emma is located which, together with a series of other facilities, also serves as a research and observation centre.

From here, you can easily reach the torrent (if you are bold, or if it is really very hot, you can even take a dip!), while the most adventurous and experienced can embark on the marked paths that wind up towards the peaks surrounding the woods.

Curious, sunny, hyperactive. I live to discover new places and never say no to a good wine.
