The itinerary explores the landscape of the Italian Collio and the Slovenian Collio/Brda, offering a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the history and characteristics of these lands, with vineyards, wineries, and breathtaking views.
MTB bike trip with some uphill sections – Italian part, route: quite challenging. Not recommended for children under 14 years old or for people who are not well-trained.

Day 1: Arrival in Gorizia - Italian Collio (approximately 50 km + 28 km variant)
Individual arrival. The itinerary winds through the hills and vineyards of the Goriziano Collio, starting from the city of Gorizia. Visit the Conti Formentini Castle and descend to the Ruzzis Superiore winery. Cross the Plessiva Forest, now a botanical park. (Variant) Option to extend the route to Prepotto, passing through wineries and villages. Stop in Cormons for a wine tasting and visit the Spessa Castle. Accommodation in a hotel.
Day 2: Nova Gorica - Slovenian Collio / Brda (approximately 45 km)
Departure from Gorizia, visit the Oslavia Military Memorial and cross the Slovenian border through vineyards and cherry-filled hills (especially in spring). Reach San Martino and the village of Smartno. Stop at the Gonjače Tower for a panoramic view. Arrive in Dobrovo for a wine tasting and explore the small historic villages of Slovenian Collio. Return to Nova Gorica via Groina. Accommodation in a hotel.
Day 3: Gorizia and Nova Gorica (approximately 17 km)
Explore the two cities, Gorizia (Italy) and Nova Gorica (Slovenia), through monuments, squares, and symbolic places, such as the Gorizia Castle and Piazza della Vittoria. Stop at Piazza della Transalpina, which once marked the border between Italy and Yugoslavia, now symbolizing the connection between the two cities. Departure or option to extend the stay.
The price includes:
- 3 days / 2 nights in a 4* hotel
- Accommodation in a double room with private facilities
- Overnight stay and breakfast
- Two wine tastings (Cormons and Klet-Brda)
- Luggage transport between stages
