The Monfalcone Theme Park of the Great War is completed by a trench dedicated to Alpine Corps Lieutenant Amelio Cuzzi, who discovered it accidentally and made a point of cleaning it from the dense vegetation that covered it. Following his death, it was completely restored by the Alpine Corps Group of Monfalcone in 1998, which decided to dedicate this section to him.
The trench is located along CAI trail No. 84, on the main Italian frontline, and develops eastwards up to Height 104, where it ends with a "drum", a zone where the trench forms a circle. On the other side, it is linked with the rear line crossing Height 98 and then connects with Joffre trench.
Two metres deep and about one and a half metres high, it stretches with a curved line for about thirty metres. It is possible to access the site via some large stairs and walk all the way through. Along the trench, you can observe slits for riflemen, a machine-gun pit and an observation post with two small caves used as shelter.
