The MuCa (Shipbuilding museum) is located in the former workers' hotel in the village of Panzano, the “company town” that grew in the 1920s around the shipyard on the initiative of the first owners, the Cosulich family.
The museum tells the story of the yard and of the city through an exhibition divided into several sections. It covers more than a century of history, using contemporary language and the latest multimedia technologies.
Next door to the shipyard where the world’s most beautiful cruise ships are still built, the museum offers an engaging experience in the midst of a vibrant industrial area.
It is ideal for families because:
multi-media technology is fascinating for children and at this shipbuilding in Monfalcone museum it is used in an attractive and conscious way. Large interactive videos, a sensory tunnel, 3D reconstructions and a simulator allow visitors to “become” a worker grappling with a crane in the 1920s: just try it!
