At the foot of Monte Hermada, which has been theatre of war between 1915 and 1917, is located a small cave in which people
worshiped the solar deity.
Inside the cave of Mitreo there are two benches and a limestone where, during the religious ceremonies, the bread was broken.
The Cave of Mitreo is one of the
most ancient temples in the world which is located inside a cave.
