Flaibano

The toponym of Flaibano is of Roman origin ("Flavianus").

The town and its only hamlet, San Odorico, are mentioned in the Othonian diploma of 983 (the same that mentions the name of Udine for the first time).

Don't miss a visit to St. John the Baptist's Country Church, in which the Holy Mass is celebrated on special occasions: on the Saint's day and on the occasion of the Festival of the Italian Alpine Troops, to which the church is dedicated. It was the Alpine soldiers who renovated the church damaged by the 1976 earthquake and built a monument dedicated to the Alpine Troops outside the building.
