The Via Alpina is an innovative European project that has involved both public and private figures in eight countries in the Alpine arch with the common aim of making the most of the Alpine heritage.
The Via Alpina extends across 5 international itineraries, 8 countries, 342 stop offs and more than 5000km of excursions from 0 to 3000m.

The itineraries are open to everyone:
There are no technical difficulties involved in the itineraries and they are open to all levels of excursionist (except when it is snowing). Find out about weather conditions, observe basic safety rules in the mountain and respect nature and your mountaineering guests!
