Located just a few kilometers from Tolmezzo, the main town in the area, we find the modern spa facility of Arta Terme, a haven of rest and tranquillity, where guests may enjoy the clean air while benefiting from the spa's health packages and full range of treatments such as thermal water and mud treatments, rehabilitation and physiotherapy. The facility's key resource consists in the Pudia spring, whose healthful mineral waters have been used since time immemorial. At the beauty and wellness centre, a full range of skin and other treatments is available, including herbal and other applications, combined and provided by extremely capable operators with in-depth knowledge of the latest advances in their respective therapeutic fields.
Visitors will be charmed by the magical qualities of the Carnia district, the large "village", the seven valleys of the Carnic Alps in the frontier lands between Austria and Italy's Veneto Region, and the beauties of nature of these ancient lands, whose traditions and customs are rooted in a distant past. From Tolmezzo, excursions are possible in the Tagliamento valley and along the Gorto and San Pietro canals. The towns and villages (even the smallest!) all bear witness to the local culture - the product of centuries - which is most evident in the architecture, for example, and the highly functional, very steep roofs of the houses of this part of the world.
