The “Perdon di Barbana”
Don't miss the traditional, delightful festival celebrated each first Sunday in July in the Grado Lagoon. An evocative procession of boats decorated with splendid garlands of flowers, heads to the sanctuary of Mary on the Island of Barbana, to renew the ancient vow that the people of Grado took with the Madonna so that she would end the terrible plague epidemic. After the mass, the procession returns to Grado, amidst singing, prayers and bells ringing.
Graisana open race
The most important sailing event in Grado is into its 24th edition this year: the historical and spectacular regatta is a must for those who love the sea and sailing.

The "Regata de le Batele"
The "Regata de le Batele" is also worth mentioning.
This rowing regatta with the traditional "batele" is an exciting race both for the public, that can follow the different elimination stages from the side of the port, and for those taking part as they will compete on a 400 metres long track, making a complete round trip of the course. One novelty this year is the participation of crews made up of women and children in a competition specifically designed for them.
