The mountains of Friuli Venezia Giulia also offer snowboarding enthusiasts the possibility to practice their favourite sport in complete freedom.
Here the ever increasing number of snowboarders can go on the many exciting tracks of Forni di Sopra and Sella Nevea. In addition in Friuli Venezia Giulia there are three snow parks, three specially equipped areas to warrant the thrill of boarding evolutions in complete freedom and safety.
The Piancavallo Funkpark is a park served by skilift, with boosted artificial snow, sound system and daily maintenance. Here, snowboard enthusiasts can practice in the bordercross or use the jumps and boxes in complete safety. In fact, every facility has notice boards which indicate the level of difficulty. Use of the helmet is compulsory.
The Arena Freestyle Snow Park on Mount Zoncolan, which can be reached from Ravascletto with the cableway and from Sutrio with the automatically-hooking chairlifts, provides upward lift facilities within the Park using the Arvenis skilift. This takes you to an oasis fitted with platforms for kickers, landings, rails, various boxes and bordercrosses outside the park.
At Tarvisio there is the Tarvisio Gold Snow park, an enclosed area that can be reached by chairlift, beaten and cut on an every day basis with an artificial snow system.
