Sella Nevea

Sella Nevea, situated at an altitude of 1200 metres above sea level in a beautiful valley set between monte Canin and the Montasio, did not take its name by chance: it is a resort where snow falls plentifully.

Various kilometres of ski slopes, two lift facilities, a cableway and a very modern cable car, which take skiers and mountaineers to an altitude approaching 2000 metres, make Sella Nevea the ideal destination for winter sport enthusiasts who do not want to go without the beauty of pastoral and wild scenery.

Downhill skiing is the resort's pride, with the Canin run and its recent competition variant, the fastest and most technical one in the whole region. But here, snow enthusiasts can take their pick: they can go into the woods on the Montasio slopes and tackle the "quota" of Conca Prevala, have fun on the snowboarding tracks and on the Alpine skiing trails, or enjoy the idyll of beautiful nature and the peace of the Montasio plateau with cjaspe (snowshoes) and with dog sledding.

In summer: hiking and Nordic walking, in the discovery of Alpine cottages and peaceful corners
In summer, the Montasio, famous for its Alpine cottages where you can savour typical and genuine products, is a pleasant hiking destination, thanks to the sobriety of the rocks that jut out of the green pastures like apparently inaccessible bastions.
Then there are the regenerating shores of an Alpine lake and cool woods for Nordic walking.

The Prealpi Giulie Natural Park also extends within the Sella Nevea territory: outstanding is the beauty of the Canin plateau, with its deep abysses.

Canoeing and windsurfing on a magical lake
8 Km from Sella Nevea it is possible to reach the Alpine lake of Predil, or Raibl, with its dark green, deep blue and sky blue colours, the woods and little grassy, pebble and sandy beaches. Here you can go canoeing, windsurfing, water biking or by pedal boat or simply lie down and enjoy the refreshing environment.

Tarzaning in the Sella Nevea Adventure Park
Enjoyment at Sella Nevea is not denied even to the younger ones, owing to the presence of the Sella Nevea Adventure Park. The Park offers five acrobatic tracks, growing in difficulty, where you can emulate Tarzan in total safety on the overhead platforms among the trees at variable heights, linked by gangways, ropes, Tibetan bridges, pulleys, lianas and suspension bridges.
