In Friuli Venezia Giulia, among the charming snow-covered forests of the Tarvisio area, near the Fusine lakes, you will find the International mushing-dog sledding school managed by great Ararad, a protagonist, among other things, of the legendary expedition "Sulle orme di Balto, 1200 chilometri in Alaska" (Following Balto's pawprints, 1200 kilometres in Alaska).
You will have the opportunity to feel the thrill of driving a sled pulled by Siberian husky dogs or to let yourself be driven by expert mushers along snow-covered paths, surrounded by peace and silence.
The International mushing-dog sledding school in Tarvisio (a federal school) offers tours and courses of dog sledding, ski joring, pulka (a kind of toboggan) in the winter months, dog trekking, dog biking and dog karting in the summer months.
The tours are suitable for everyone, in Tarvisio's forest, in Fusine's plain and in the Julian Pre-Alps Park. FVG Card holders will be granted a 20% discount.
