The Horse Trails of the Cormor Valley

An itinerary with stopping places, 30 km in total length, that unwinds on dirt trails among gentle hills and the Cormôr river. But don't be deceived: the ups and downs of this suggestive hillside landscape are never too hard and within the reach of all.

By bike, mountain-bike, on foot or horseback: you can enjoy these fairytale landscapes however you please. With one thing for sure: cars, here, are not allowed! The routes are ideal, truly for everyone: also for children.
Departure and arrival
You can all choose your point of departure and arrival, in the knowledge that the two ends are both in the heart of:
• in the south the Cormôr Park, at the gates of Udine
• in the north the hillside town of Buja.
The horse trails cross:
• Tavagnacco, famous for its asparagus tradition and beautiful villas
• Pagnacco, with the suggestive rural hamlet of Fontanabona
• Tricesimo, enhanced by elegant historical villas
• Colloredo di Monte Albano, overlooked by the castle where the writer Ippolito Nievo lived
• Cassacco, with its very ancient castle
• Treppo Grande, set on a tall hill that offers breathtaking views
• Buja, the town of the art of the medal
Tastes of the land
Along the route you can discover farms and estates and sample the many specialities offered by the typical establishments that cook genuine dishes prepared with the characteristic resources of this land.
