Breathtakingly beautiful rural itineraries taking in sights of historic interest on special bikes with GPS navigator and blue-tooth headphones. This opportunity is made available through the "Terre di Aquileia by Bike", "club di prodotto" (product club) deal devised by the inter-municipal group, Associazione intercomunale del Cervignanese, with the technical and organisational assistance of the Agenzia Turismo FVG.
Guests can choose from 16 accommodation solutions with special offers (bikes, B&B, farm holiday accommodation, rented rooms, farms, campsite accommodation, wines, small hotels), in the municipalities of Aquileia, Cervignano del Friuli, Fiumicello, Terzo di Aquileia and Villa Vicentina.
The bikes are provided with multimedia guides, including maps obtained from satellite photos, and can be 'hired' free of charge from all concerns belonging to the club. Four theme areas are available for itineraries:
- land itineraries;
- water itineraries;
- time itineraries;
- religious itineraries.
The navigator's audio-visual and text files provide precise information on the main features of the areas and the sights of cultural interest encountered along the way.
Also included are the addresses of the concerns taking part in the Strada del Vino di Aquileia or "Aquileia wine route" initiative, for visitors who wish to sample the local wines and delicacies (special offers for FVG Card holders).
